FAQ

Answers that get better as students ask.

This starter FAQ covers the launch version. As more questions come in, repeated questions can become clearer public answers.

High school students

How do I know which engineering major fits me?

Start with Major Discover. Look for the problems, projects, and first-year classes that sound interesting, then bring specific questions to an advisor or current student.

Incoming freshmen

What should I organize during Week 1?

Use the Course Info Sheet to capture grading weights, exam dates, office hours, late policies, drop dates, and major assignments before the semester gets busy.

Current students

How should I compare classes before registration?

Use Class Comparison to look at sections, professor fit, grade distribution context, schedule difficulty, and how each class affects the rest of your week.

Course support

What should I do if Calculus, Chemistry, or Physics gets hard?

Ask early. Use Course Specific Learning and Campus Academic Resources to find tutoring, office hours, PAL sessions, review options, and academic support before the first exam cycle passes.

Chapters

Can another school start a Future of STEM chapter?

Yes, but the launch version treats new chapters as future expansion. Use Ask a Question or Contact to share interest and school context.
